School on a budget

This is my guide to playing School of Dragons on a budget. 

What do I mean by "budget"?

• Not spending any money, period.
• Not spending gems on anything you can get by other means.
• Not spending a lot of mental effort.
• Not spending a lot of time.*

* By "time" I mean personal, hands-on time actually in the game, and not chronological time. Two of my keys to playing SoD on a budget will be practices (farming and stable missions) that allow you to gain wealth slowly in the background through the days without having to spend much of your own time in the game.

Here are my basic suggestions. In the coming weeks, I'll write posts giving more details about each step and link to them from here.

1. Log in every day even if you don't plan to play on a given day, just to get the cumulative daily bonuses.
2. Earn practically infinite gold through "industrial farming."
3. Using your infinite gold, open every gold chest you find to (slowly) gain items that can include dragon eggs.
4. Keep your dragons engaged as continuously as possible in stable missions to level them up and gain gold, items, titan runes, and even gems and more dragons.
5. Even if you mainly play on a desktop computer, also install one of the phone apps so you can watch video ads to earn gems -- three times a day! -- open video chests, and accelerate stable missions. You don't need to do any real playing on the phone; you just need to quickly log in from time to time to gain the benefits of watching video ads.

These are the basics. They don't cost a cent or a gem, and won't take much time or headspace, but through these practices alone, you can gain tons of experience and items and level multiple dragons through to the titan stage.

Beyond them, there are other relatively inexpensive ways to accelerate your progress. They cost more in terms of your time and headspace, though, so you'll have decide how much to invest in them.

• Play dragon tactics to level up your dragons and gain gold, battle gear, gems, and titan runes.
• Fight in battle events to level up your dragons and gain gold, gems, items, and more dragons.
• Do all the quests to gain all the possible things.
